Maarten Koningsberger

Maarten Koningsberger, born in 1955, studied singing a.o. with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Margreet Honig. He sings a wide range of styles, from lieder evenings to opera. At the last named he performed roles as 'Pelléas' (Pelléas et Mélisande) and 'Aeneas' (Dido and Aeneas). Recently he sang in 'Apollo e Daphne' (Händel). He co-operated with conductors as Ton Koopman, William Christie, Reinbert de Leeuw and Lucas Vis. He made cd recordings with accompanists as Graham Johnson and Rudolf Jansen.
