Jaco Huijpen

Jaco Huijpen studied singing in Hilversum and Amsterdam and followed master classes with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. He debuted still at his study period in 1987 at the 'Zomeropera' in 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail'. He joined for years the 'Opera van Gelsenkirchen' and the 'Stadttheater am Gärtnerplatz' in Munich. Jaco Huijpen has sung with the 'Nationale Reisopera' - recently as Oroveso in Norma - and at opera houses in Brussels, Antwerp, Gent, Lausanne, Berlin and Amsterdam. Also as concert singer he is active, a.o. in oratorio and Beethoven's 'Ninth'.
