Tilia Hill
Tilia Hill, born 1872
Tilia Hill (born as Johanna van Linden van den Heuvell) was born on 15 May 1872 in Vlaardingen. Also with her the gift for singing appeared already soon. Her debut she made with a lieder-evening in The Hague. In the beginning she also sang in operas, a.o. in 'Parsifal' under Viotta, in 'Der Barbier von Bagdad' (Peter Cornelius) under Johan Wagenaar, but most of all she sang lieder and oratorio. Her oratorio-repertoire was very great, from Bach - also the cantatas - to Verdi.
