Ankie van Wickevoort-Crommelin (1906-1998)
Studied first piano. Had her opera-debut in 1932 in Vienna. However, despite this opera-debut no opera-career came to birth. She sang mainly the lighter coloratura-parts and appeared with them in concerts and oratorio. She performed Dutch lieder of, a.o. 'Orthel' on a text of Rilke and 'Vijf minneliederen' (Five love-songs) of Paap. She was engaged in Vienna, Neurenberg and Düsseldorf. She was also active as a radio-singer.
